Note that my PC is recent rather powerful, and I chose the 32-bit version.
The upgrade Vista to W7 went smoothly without data loss. However, getting support from someone just awakened to the computer thing spoil anything, because I'm not sure that the procedure is safe from a blunder if you are new.
Bad point: I had to buy a webcam and scanner because their manufacturers did not bother or could design new drivers to work with W7. This detail should be considered before installing W7.
Summary: Vista finally seem honest and to the point, it is called Windows 7. However W7 does not make happier than XP. Simply, consumption system obliges, XP will soon be obsolete for full internet or software applications ... This time I foolishly followed suit but next time I would rather buy an island in the Pacific!
