I for one can not understand this quite critical Rezenzionen. And no, I am not an employee of this Dutch company.
My Impression:
The display is easy to read (as glasses), it's not too bright and not displayed accordingly. Due to the external power supply, the alarm has no 50-cycle hum. The reception is (unwound antenna) in our town 1.7m outstanding. The instructions need not necessarily, because the device is fairly intuitive to use (there are only 7 button). The energy consumption is terrific low. There is no time limit on the snooze function and alarm off is aureichend far from the snooze button (both very important to me). Purchase decisive was the Gentle wake function, ie the alarm tone or radio sound begins very quietly and then increases gradually in the volume until you snooze or alarm suppressed. This makes the device very reliable during the first 45 min .. Afterwards, however ... you will be woken up at full volume level !!! It is therefore in the morning yelled at for example from friendly radio host with the news or Opus "Live is live" is a smashed on the skull. Well, there are people who do it within 45 min. get up after the first alarm, I do not belong. This bug is in my view the only point of criticism can blame the one this small, low-cost device.
* Update: After exactly 2 years and 2 months, the device is defective. Apparently the alarm is no longer reliably able to awaken. All 5-10 days logs the alarm sound (although radio reception is selected) or it cracks softly. Schade Philips ...
