I know the Nespresso System since 1999 and I have personally used previously, 2008. The machine I had was expensive but it was impractical because of the filter holder it was necessary to load, empty and clean. It was tedious and I had thus abandoned the system. Moreover Nespresso capsules were very expensive, environmentally unsound and impractical to obtain. You either go through the Club Internet - in which case you must order at least 50 capsules to get the free shipping - or go directly to Nespresso boutique - which are few, far from home and still in town, which is a hindrance to me, because parking spaces are somewhat easy to find and expensive. The complaints that I have outlined against the Nespresso system are still valid, however, since competitors have marketed compatible capsules, I am interested in this new system. So I found this Krups machine that I first tested in stores. I find it pretty enough with its modern design. The build quality ("Swiss") looks good. Furthermore, the price and a reduction of 60 euros via the lesparrains.fr site have finally convinced me. I ordered this machine from Amazon since the price it was the lowest I could find. I will not repeat Amazon quality service, always! Perfect in every way ... So the machine was delivered to me one day before the scheduled date. The packaging machine is convenient to open and can be reused for a possible future transport. I also confirm that the machine is manufactured with care and delivered with 16 Nespresso capsules in order to test the coffees that we like. The installation is easy and fast. In actual use, I simply criticizes the machine to be a little too noisy. Otherwise the production of a coffee is simple and fast. Just insert the capsule in the top of the machine and close it. Then pressing one of two buttons (Espresso or Lungo) and the machine takes care of everything. At the opening of the lever that was used to place the capsule, it automatically falls back into the transparent tray. In addition, for the stunned, the LEDs light up in red behind the transparent tray when the water supply is almost empty. Also this reserve is convenient to fill and replace. The cafes are usually pretty good, but I much prefer the brand capsules or Gold Casino. Those at Nespresso are mostly too acrid and have all an unpleasant metallic taste because of the aluminum package, which is anti-ecological elsewhere. The competing brands are plastic and work perfectly with these machines. Their coffee is tastier and were purchased just about anywhere at cheaper prices. In conclusion, this machine can do a good coffee, and with plastic capsules, espresso holds all its promises.
