The player is quite small and compact, but shaped so that one can hardly put anything on it. The front USB port is poorly placed, as not really smoothly and the Power / Play button is right above it - so you have to hold onto the sides when inserting.
Positive, the player is fairly quiet, easy to wire in use and easy to set up. BR even I have not tested, this will be not used with us.
For me, the biggest flaw: According to the description and the manual says the thing any format plays pretty much from each container in which one but no one says that only applies to the USB port and self-made blanks. Via network is only DLNA offered, at least I could find no function for (S) FTP (S) / SMB / NFS. About DLNA precisely that significantly fewer formats are played, I only .avi and .mp (3.4, eg, g) appears.
For me, the player therefore does not fit and I go back to XBMC, it will keep for my better half anyway since Prime Support is the decisive point for them.
Respect. Prime (and other apps), very very slow in operation, when the film runs but first, there's nothing to complain about. Miracast works for me, my Xperia Z Ultra provides the player though, but there is always a timeout when establishing the connection. However, this can on my ROM (currently Slimkat 7.6) are, therefore, I am referring not in the standings.
My conclusion, nice product, can with an established Media Center application but not even begin to keep up. There will be probably never official support by Amazon (Netflix, etc) for XBMC or Linux in general, the unit remains firstonce here.
