Gone are the days when there were people who liked a movie simply because of his idea or his characterological performance and loved. Gone are the times when it still prepared fun, a Friday night movie, totally genuine and totally open mind to enjoy, and to preserve the experienced feelings of happiness and internalize. Through today's media landscape such feelings are bludgeoned by intoxicating SpecialEffect flooding, and the appreciation of a film focusing on the best technical performance. In a movie like "Barbarella", which dates from the good old 60's pop culture, it is possible to let revive these old values again. According to today's standards, one must admit, the special effects seem more like Puppet Theatre, and the ambiance is like a mediocre theater performance. But that's not what makes this film so! In an age like ours, in the sexual passion about so special is like drinking coffee, you can hardly imagine what it was like to enjoy this as unusual. In "Barbarella" you will be transported back to a time when this was extraordinary, indeed where it was even possible to pack into the emotional expectations of an entire generation. What would today probably put as inconsequential Internet sadomasochistic performance, Transferred here to explore the deepest passions of men.
