Poignant story

Me, Malala (Paperback)

Customer Review

The poignant story of a girl who had the misfortune to be born and spend her childhood in the wrong place at the wrong time. She talks a lot from his father, too, who would also have won the Nobel Prize, as a man who fights for girls' education in a region fell under the influence of the Taliban. A valley of Pakistan where, even before the arrival of the Taliban, most families felt the birth of a boy as an event worthy of being celebrated with great pomp, but the birth of a daughter almost as a curse, or in any case a "non-event". In his narrative, where she talks about her childhood and her struggle, Malala is, inevitably, the parallel with the tragic events that shook the valley. How an earthquake allowed the Taliban to implement gradually, taking advantage of the ignorance and gullibility of people (earthquake perceived as divine punishment to punish the inhabitants of the valley who have "hijacked of God "...).
