My Friends All Died in a Plane Crash (CD)

Customer Review

A man, a woman. They are French and are doing what is called folk-pop, they are called Cocoon and their first album My Friends All Died in a Plane Crash, sacred title!
And sacred small album beautifully tucked by two musicians (and a composer, Mr.) knowing compose, perform and arrange charming little songs that you long trots led after that listening is completed. There obviously has both tubes of the album, you have necessarily heard even when they unintentionally served to sound illustration to a news report, an advertisement (On My Way, Chupee and addictive riff ukulele), two small bombs delicate folk pop melody quite representative of an album, due in English because essentially influenced by Anglo-American sounds, which flows into the ear like the sweetest honey from a sore throat. The balance of the two vocalists, their complementarity, precious but never pompous arrangements, a production for assessing all the subtleties, small finds an album that does not lack never, however, dispose of a real nice melodic simplicity, a communicative verve making each song immediately accessible.
Mark and Morgane Daumail Imbeaud, the two forces of Cocoon, try to replicate the feat on a second album, Where The Oceans End, moreover a good album but lacking the charming innocence of this original feature set. My Friends All Died in a Plane Crash is a beautiful album as soft cuddly kitty Morgana in the pocket and melodious and recommended to all, it's that simple.
