Power-precious-Compact for best price!

Amazing that the Canon PowerShot S110 which was brought by Canon in September 2012 to the German market, now is to have less than half the introductory price (about 220 RRP 479) - and now No. 1 on the Amazon bestseller list "compacts" is. I too have purchased the S110 as "early adopter" in autumn 2012 here at Amazon for more than 440.

And I'm after regular use of the camera still very happy: wanted I had a noble Compact above the mass Ixus models (of which I had over the years different models (V3, 750) in use) and below the EOS Spiegelrefelexkameras.

Was decisive for me:
+ Excellent image quality with 12.1 MP
+ High output aperture of f 2.0,
+ Wide property from 24 mm (KB equivalent)
+ Moderate 5-fold zoom lens on the restriction of the error (corresponding KB. 24-120 mm)
+ Simple, elegant design (weight: 198 g)
+ Fast operation with keys and 3-inch touch screen.
+ RAW mode also possible (who would not only JPEGs).
Negative, but no purchase obstacle:
- The first incredibly high price of EUR 479 (but Leica was / would be even more expensive), now
+ Purchase price to the 200 is excellent value for money.

The camera has proved its worth as a noble "Always there" compact camera with excellent images. Super control options while Program ("P") for easy photography. If it has to happen quickly: simply turn, trigger tap for autofocus, triggering. Done.

The specialist magazine CHIP judges (11/2012): "Small camera for spectacular photos - Outwardly inconspicuous, but technically convincing" and COLORFOTO joined (12/2012): "good [r] compromise between handy size and pleasing image quality."

My conclusion for the second year: Compact great for quality recordings! Buy recommendation!
