An active USB hub should provide enough power for its connected devices! This creates the HAMA 4-port USB hub with its far too small-sized power supply not.

A mere 1.2 amps delivers the rectifier, the scratch even at an external 2.5 "hard drive on the spin-up at the upper limit!

After USB 2.0 standard normal every port would require a current of 500mA are available, ie, total therefore should normally 0.5A x 4Ports = 2A are available !!!

I am still looking for a hub with a strong power supply ...
