I have used Word for Mac intensively. I wrote my thesis and various chores. My conclusion is after almost a year of sobering. Word for Mac is not mature. Where am I supposed to start ... well, at slightly longer work (more than 15 pages) needs Word until you can edit the document. If you want the same scroll down, Word immediately jumps back to the first page. Alarmingly, sometimes with large Word files pages suddenly described are completely white. If you wegscrollt the side and back zurückscrollt to her or on the white surface marks the text, the text is back. Word seems not really stable, sometimes the program is delayed greatly the text input mode after approximately 2 seconds the text appears on the screen. So writing is really a farce. I was able to Word 2000, Word 2007 and Word 2010 use (both for Windows) and was satisfied. Especially Word 2010, which I have used in the work was great. But Word 2011 for Mac is full of bugs. But the crashes are limited.
PowerPoint and Excel for Mac to run but very stable and are similar to the versions of Windows. Unfortunately, some Excel features are not that easy to find, as in the Windows version.
Word = 1 Star PowerPoint = 4 stars Excel = 4 stars
PS I use Office on OSX Mavericks on a Macbook Air mid-2013.
