Monitor cable accumulate over the years so many, but they are just all quite short. If you want to use the TV as a monitor to view, for example, streaming on the large screen TV, you'd have to either bring the PC to the TV (very cumbersome) or the TV to the computer (usually goes even less because of all the cables from the TV to other external devices lead). So you simply plugs in the cables from the monitor, put the adapter on it and connecting the remaining side of the adapter to the monitor cable, plugged the other side already in the TV in the D-SUB input. If I do not need the monitor cable to the TV disappears it just behind the TV. Already one has bridged the way from the desktop to the TV in an easy manner. On TV screen I see no concessions by the longer cable. This adapter is thus been for me really worth the money. I can highly recommend it.
