I use the charger to the practical USB port for charging battery and a USB device at the same time. The charger is a bit clunky, it would be certainly more slender build, but looks pretty solid for the price. The quality of the "pull-out band" with which you got the battery from the GoPro is not comparable with the original battery, but so far it holds. The battery life is comparable. I did not make stopwatch test, but the original as well as the battery hold something less than 2 hours.
