I bought the headlights to replace my old halogen headlights. I wanted to get more light on the road. And that gives this spotlight also, although 40Lux are not as bright as 60Lux, you can get in this price range from other manufacturers as well. The illumination of the road is quite wide, I would estimate about 5m. Also forward the spotlight shines pretty far. Reflectors can be clearly seen also in 200m distance. What I did not like so much is the illumination of the peripheral area in front of the front wheel. In (close) bends the inside of the curve disappears in the dark. On a route where one does not know, that's really annoying. In addition, you should pay attention to the correct polarity of the connecting cable, or else the whole system does not work (either the taillight or not they illuminate not, but the taillight alone ...). The switch-on is a nice gimmick and not absolutely necessary. The rotary switch on the rear panel makes a stable impression and can be operated without any problems. Point deduction's due to poor illumination of curves and because I had something Basten to get the holder a little further forward. I had a collision with the brake cable and other holders than the provided can not be used. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the headlights.
