Detailed and well made which works fine (NFC at the top), I tested the compatibility with 3 sets; Super Smash Bros. fighter as companion on Hyrule Warriors to unlock a new weapon in Mario Kart 8 to unlock a costume. Small functions that make the most of this figure.

Not essential (but is not that how we prefer the figurines?) But they will delight collectors and bring their bonus prizes ... Long-term investment and therefore you can count on Nintendo to make them immortal, unlike other models like Skylanders ...

To sum up: no need to buy the figurines for a new game, no need to have the figurines to play and offer and provide content in multiple games ...

Perfect for what they are!
