I have for the shredder's Home Office acquired, as the successor to an ancient, broken TA device. The first time my wife came away shocked tarnished what was going on here. That part really makes a hell of a noise, much more unpleasant than the TA. However, this is to get over the face of the very reasonable price, I think. In any case, when the shredder only relatively seldom used, as it is the case for us. Substituting the shredder often or regularly, you should buy a quieter device definitely prefer. Otherwise, the unit is working so far as it should. Also clipped together smaller stack of paper (up to 4 leaf, I had previously) are not a problem. CDs I have not tried yet, but I do not need it. Because of the heavy volume, I can give only an average star rating, but this should not prevent anyone from buying, the device uses only a little, and then live with the volume.
