The bag is from above via zipper accessible, which I personally much more than is the "Gequetsche" with a bag cover. Very nice also: The bag can be extended by the front vertical Reißverschlüß. In this way, then a light jacket or sweater is a fits easily with inside. Laterally next to the centrally located camera compartment inside there is an extra compartment for a smaller tablet (with me the iPad mini). All around the bag has 3 compartments outside, all of which are open. Here you could want on a one zipper at least. But at least I have not yet missed the wikrlich. The rear compartment is big enough for a small bottle of water, but not very deep. Nevertheless, I have not as yet lost my water bottle.
Processing and materials are at very high levels, as I am used to from Lowepro for years. That is why the shoulder pad is a bit disappointing. It falls to MMN sparse (almost cheap) out. I simply replaced it against a pad from another manufacturer from the outdoor store.
My real criticism of the pocket is but another. And to put it straight to the point - most of you know it: the perfect camera bag does not exist! This also applies to the Passport Sling III. In the first place in a bag is the purpose. If you have the wrong chosen, you will be happy with any pocket.
The Passport Sling is ideal for strolling, as "Always with you", as a pocket for the important things in everyday or while traveling - and if you do not want to do without a camera or small photo equipment in all of this; ie when the camera now and then, spontaneously, but not too often and not to ever be used. The bag has namely a "problem" as all bags of this type: The walls are not reinforced often as usual with the "right" camera bag. This has two consequences: First, the bag clings very well to the body, especially if you wear across the shoulder. One does not have the "suitcase feel" of many other camera bags. On the other hand, however, the bag compresses very easily, especially if you have taken the camera. The one-handed removal and stowing goes there almost not at all. In particular, when storing the camera almost always the case must be stopped with one hand or again "expanded". As I said, this is easily as long as the camera is not to be unduly often in use in a short time. Specifically: I had a few days to a New York trip. There is a lot to take pictures while walking through the city, but still around his neck, I wanted the camera may not have. The constant design-and-clean then at a certain point with this bag but quite annoyed.
Once back at home so I like the Passport Sling more so. You with me now in everyday life more than any other camera bag before - precisely because I use the camera in everyday life only now and then, but they have been doing so ever.
