I bought these speakers: "Teufel Ultima 40 Surround" (5.1 system)
The connection of the boxes is completely Simpel and presents no problems. Also the calibration works perfectly.
Of course there are a bunch of sound setting at the I wonder if anyone really needs. (Hall in Muinch, Hall in Vienna, Cellar Club, Action Game, Music Video ... just to name a few)
I always use the setting straight here because the receiver automatically assigns if the soundtrack is played in 2.1 or 5.1 depending on which format is played.
Here I would be interested how you deal with all these settings ??
After some time of trial hearing I was not really happy with the stereo sound and thought to myself that it is determined that the output power of the receiver only 115W per channel outputs and can tolerate my front speakers 200W. I wanted to look after a more powerful receiver when I came across the function of the bi-amping. When I then read that I can connect my speakers using banana plugs to my receiver I asked myself banana plug, speaker damper and ordered something umverkabelt and all speakers to damper.
The result can be heard clearly. Before I found this simulated 7ch Stereo summarizes better than normal stereo. But when I then inveigled me the first Pink Floyd CD was clearly audible, the music needs to be heard in 2.1. So if you only have 5 speakers and your front speakers Bi-amping capable as your receiver then uses the out !!
Since then I have this music system I attach particular importance to quality music. In a system such you just notice the difference between MP3 and CD / WAV. Here I want to suggest to you when you rip a CD then as a WAV file. There is also the WMA lossless but does not recognize the receiver via USB !! So for beginners, it is not enough to have a good system and then to hear cheap MP3 formats.
I would claim to be able to use the system really well you need the Yamaha APP. Just to music from USB flash drive play I find the app very useful because it displays the entire list of music on the mobile phone / tablet. However, you can not filter by album or artist but it is just the normal Ordnersystm displayed with which you have recorded the USB flash drive.
So actually, I'm so a 5.1 system and here it's really how good this movie Depending is used. And I must not admit so really torn from the stool, it has me. Yeah few helicopter or airplane moments sound great and when the balls but in shootings behind a strike at the latest after the 3rd film can be seen on this feature also for the 2.1 sound with devil bombastic.
What is here your opinion on the subject? If I would now again buy a system then you would the money which are draufgegangen for center and surround speakers in perhaps even better front speakers stuck (ie 2.1 system).
Noticed strange to me here especially Expendables 3. This is already sold with Dolby Atmos. And here was 5.1 lower than 2.1. Especially when setting straight the Receiver has automatically set to 2.1, and not even to 5.1. I think that this receiver with Dolby Atmos can not cope and this format can not convert correctly to 5.1. However, this is my experience, and it would really interest me know about you so.
By comparison, 1 Expendables really sounds great !!!
On the whole, however, I am very satisfied with the receiver especially since I am currently more music than hear-looking movies. In addition I bought this receiver via flash range to 330. With the condition I get along very well and I must admit that I am really here the APP is more sympathetic than the remote control. You can switch on and off and easily play music via phone receiver on APP. It is this feature I like when I wake up and it may even make the bed of music.
Switching between TV / USB / Blu Ray also works well. Music settings and connections there is anyway more than I need. Especially the various settings confuse a novice more than they are useful.
Finally, it should be said you may perhaps just not too much of the thing expected here, it does clearly in the lower price range and leaves upwards much open. And I think just my problem I would have with a surround receiver in the price range of 900 not up. But for my needs this receiver is perfectly adequate. I can however well imagine that this receiver is not the full potential of my speakers exploits. This fact should be before buying consciously.
