For analog signals (such as speaker wire) may occur (negative) influences the signal and thus the resulting image / sound quality by inferior cable entirely.
For digital signals, there is, apart from minor errors signal / jitter, actually only the states "perfect quality" and "No pictures, sound, etc.". So I feel it sinnfrei more than absolutely necessary to spend on an HDMI cable. As long as the signal is fed properly through the 2m given here and all features of HDMI 1.4a support, there is no reason to spend - except you need a fire protection insulation, flat ribbon cable or the like.
Amazon's high-speed HDMI cable provides this without complaint and since it even has Ethernet channel, it is virtually exactly what you can expect for your money and should. Surely there is something more processed cable, however, it acts in my opinion in real even slightly higher quality than the local product images.
A word about the new HDMI classes: There are two cable categories HDMI standard and HDMI High Speed defined (also 'category 1/2). This has only partly to do with the HDMI version of the jacks on the TV.
HDMI standard cables are similar to TV receiver thought and have at least a bandwidth of 2.25 Gbit / s (70 MHz) to provide 'The required bandwidth for HD 720p60 / 1080i50. They can be used also to HDMI 1.4 (a) jacks, but it is not possible to use the full resolution and other features of HDMI 1.4. In spite of all features of HDMI 1.4 are possible with standard HDMI cables, this is especially true for the variant HDMI standard Ethernet.
HDMI High Speed cables support all versions of HDMI up to current version 1.4a, so offer enough bandwidth for the 'HD successor' 4K (4096 x 2160 pixels), 1080p24 or 720p60 3D TV, HD Audio (DTS HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD) incl. backchannel, new color spaces (up to 48 bit) and in the case of Ethernet variant also a possibility to connect the TV without a separate cable to the Internet.
And 'all the offers Amazons cable for little money in a customer- and environmentally friendly packaging.
