The combo drive is doing what it should, namely DVDs and Blu-Rays read in an acceptable speed and volume.
It is immediately recognized as Optiarc drive and Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 without driver and integrated.

An insolence are the two enclosed USB cable with 15cm length, both also for trouble-free operation
necessarily have to be used (power supply!) = 1 star deduction

An external power supply with sufficient cable length is completely absent = 1 star deduction.
