First for me was the question in the room if I should buy a (expensive) Ultrabook ... luckily I have then for the Acer Aspire One 725 29.5 cm (11.6 inches) Netbook (AMD C-60 , 1 GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, AMD HD 6290, Bluetooth, no operating system) blue decided! However, I must say that I've replaced the hard drive directly from a SSD (Samsung)! To this end, the very first sentence: The replacement is easy. A screw at the bottom and you can remove the entire bottom cover of the device and has access to the inner workings (memory, disk, ....). A big plus, because comparable devices from other manufacturers you have to exchange the disk disassemble the entire case and comes after what felt like 100 screws to the goal ... The exchange I can highly recommend, because the notebook is thus very fast booting and opening programs. In addition, there will be less hot and is completely silent in many applications. The overall performance is very good considering the price. For everyday applications (at the university), ie Internet, Office, Video playback, it is well equipped. The unit will play 1080p full HD videos from any problems. This works both on Youtube, as well as data on the hard drive or SSD. When playing on the notebook screen these contents are indeed 'downscaled', as the display so does not have 1080 pixels in height, but also the full HD playback via HDMI on a TV set easily and smoothly possible (tested with VLC Player with hardware acceleration enabled). Processing and design are just as appealing and high quality. My expectations were considering the low price even exceeded. I have previously worked with a 11-inch Lenovo Ideapad and have to say that the Acer this clearly suggests in terms of appearance and Hapik. The display hinges make a quality impression and are very stable! In tests we often read about the allegedly bad keyboard. I can not confirm definitively. Although the key hub is rather low, but the keys are big enough and have a noticeable pressure point / stop. Of course everybody has individual 'preference' ... I personally get along very well with the keyboard! In the end perhaps a statement on the battery life: In the 'Field Test' (surfing, office, from time to time a YouTube video at acceptable set display brightness and activated WLAN), the device stops with me ~ 5.5 hours by. A little bit more, sometimes a little less ... depending on the requirements. Videos play it (with deactivated WLAN and reduced display brightness) ~ 4 hours off before the battery is empty. To this end, I have to say that I generally still - have made no special efforts to extend the duration and possibly the SSD has a positive impact on the maturity - except the Windows settings. For my needs - as a mobile secondary computer for work and the university - was the Aspire One 725 (in combination with the SSD) absolutely the right decision! Strong buy recommendation!
