CD drive
The player will play everything in the old plant had my problems or is no longer played the same: burned CDs (even older), MP3 CDs and those who are already somewhat scratched.
Tape Deck
Also it works flawlessly, annoying here is just that the buttons are placed a bit inconvenient. It requires a bit of finger gymnastics to use them and they are also "in the shadows", ie when the light is not shining directly on it not to recognize which button has which function. That should not have been but I can live with it.
Audio-Link
This allows an MP3 player to connect directly via the earphone connection to the system. Here one can say little to. It works fine.
USB port
It should be noted that there is no resume. Each time you restart it starts again at one track, so not the best choice for audio books). How many player "remembers" it also tracks not in alphabetical order but in the in which they were copying itself to the stick. Just so there is no confusion.
If you listen to USB and pauses he turns after about one hour of self from all over, whether that happens even with normal CDs I have not even tried.
Subsequent Edit: Both the USB flash drive as well as CDs he turns but already much faster (less than 10 minutes), a bit annoying but I can live with;)
Display
The shows on its own only the track number, but you can also switch (in MP3) and display the file name. Another feature that I really appreciate the opportunity is set different brightness levels: very light also illuminates ever smaller spaces, dimmed leaves a still read the display in the dark without being dazzled and out is - well - very dark. Then it can no longer be read, but you can sleep :)
Radio
Exists and works ... but all I can really say as a non-radio listeners.
Volume
Out of consideration for neighbors I hear generally not particularly loud and the system is also not in very large rooms. For me therefore sufficient if the full volume for ballrooms enough I can not say.
And then there was ...
The remote control * sigh *. Most of the "extras", such as display Beleichtung and sleep timer can only be set via the remote control (and switch between the different audio sources is more comfortable with it). That's a little annoying because I feel a bit silly when I'm sitting in front of a relatively small room in front of the system and the remote control in hand ... and have to be careful that I do not lose I have to now.
(Oh, and because Phillips is really badly off are delivered without batteries, but most likely to have lying around a couple of AAA batteries).
Conclusion: The remote control is annoying, but otherwise everything is fine for me. I'd always buy again.
