PRO PLAN DELICATE - as main food I would not recommend it

I take the test product with Purina part in trendsetter.
For this, I received a test package dry cat food from Purina PRO PLAN. There were a bag of 400g, 5 bags of 100g and 5 brochures and 5 vouchers included.
Since the cat Bärli had my friend bladder stones, had to be changed his diet. The vet had protein food (high meat content) recommended to us.
Since we had to look for other types of feed us now, I was able to take my test feed under the microscope.
I have now informed me in detail about the cat food at the vet and the Internet.
On the front of the PRO PLAN Delicate bag stands at the bottom of the purple bar: Rich in turkey. But If you look at the ingredients on the back closely, you can read here, that just 18% turkey are included.
The rest of the composition are: rice, corn gluten meal, pea protein concentrate, dehydrated turkey protein, animal fat, dried egg, corn starch, corn, minerals, fish oil, and yeast autolysate.
In the accompanying booklet, you can indeed read that DELICATE contains a total content of 40% protein. But the various components of the 40% put together, you not learn. Because there are animal and vegetable proteins.
Cats are carnivores and therefore eat actually mainly from animal proteins. Too many vegetable proteins may affect the long term renal function.
In PRO PLAN also crops such as maize and rice is included. Since cats but now times are carnivores, grain is up to them too long in the intestine and can not be broken down properly. This can lead to digestive problems and abdominal pain.
If a cat eats a mouse, the mouse, although also includes cereals, which it has eaten, but this percentage is very low. In cat food, a vegetable portion or cereal content to below 5% is acceptable.
What percentage of cereals contained exactly in PRO PLAN, you can not remove the information.
PRO PLAN contains 7% Ash, this is fine. A proportion below 4% would not be enough for the minerals supply, more than 7% may indicate a contamination of the feed.
In the brochure you can also read that DELICATE OptiRenal contains. OptiRenal is a scientifically designed combination of ingredients, which is composed of amino acids, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. These substances can contribute to the preservation of kidney health. This is a positive point of PRO PLAN DELICATE. Another positive point is that PRO PLAN is free from artificial colors and preservatives.
Tasted it seems all my 8 test cats (including 5 cats from colleagues and neighbors) very well.
When my cat food research I've also found that the cat should eat dry food, not only because they otherwise do not have enough absorbs moisture. Even if she has enough water available, they nevertheless do not drink so much that the kidneys are sufficiently flushed. It may occur Kidney problems such as stones or semolina. (Hangovers are more vulnerable because they have a longer urethra than females) why we did the vet recommended to feed the Bärli no dry food.
I think healthy cats can already feed some dry food, wet food but should take precedence.

Conclusion:
On the negative side, that the meat content of PRO PLAN is too low. It is cereals such as rice and corn contain. The price is a bit high. A 400g bag costs eg 4.49 to 4.99 euros and
1.5 kg bag costs 13.90 Euro.

Positive I can mention OptiRenal and that PRO PLAN is free of dyes and preservatives. Smell it does not uncomfortable and the cats also tastes like. (But certainly are perhaps exceptions)

I would feed PRO PLAN DELICATE in small amounts. Wet food with high meat content of 60%, (preferably more) is definitely in the first place.
