A few days ago I decided my 3 year old computer upgrade. Housing, drives, graphics card I retained, board, CPU, power supply and RAM were exchanged. But the whole thing is a different story. When building I then realized that the old front panel board (3.5 "format - Noname product" Godspeed Computer Corp) at the new MSI board (Z77A-GD65) could not be connected, the USB connector on the board did not match the coded connector. Then I also wanted to have 3.0 concern USB on the front panel. My election to the ICY BOX IB-865 which would then provide me a neat card reader and a front USB 3.0 port much. Processing and delivery as always without complaint. Outwardly makes the 3.5 "metal casing a good impression, the cable length to the connector on the motherboard is fully sufficient in my case. Function after installation so far with no problem, the card reader recognized my SDHC card from the digital camera, hits pretty fix, much better than the old USB 2.0 - as far as I'm satisfied. But the installation - perhaps Board conditionally - was not without its ... Because of the USB 3.0 connector sat under the graphics card (GTX260 old) - so map out again - case was still open. The connecting cable of the ICY BOX did not fit right away and was difficult to position, rather figelinsch because the connector housing and the flat had been no reason. Then I probably still bend a pin. Because I wanted to get breaking any faceplate and the fingers only have a certain length - Mainboard back out, bent into shape Pin carefully, put plugs, tested several times, finally it was fine. I mean I have not tinkered longer time to PC's although I professionally deal to me many years with IT. So great to consider when upgrading my experience, taking into account the location of the connector on the board and very careful to address the matter.
