The "charger" is a generic (no Garmin) made in china which GPS support like a USB data transfer cable sync data but does not use it while driving because the screen that appears on GPS and the same as when connecting the GPS to a computer (black screen with a computer icon ... there is no access to maps ...) If you need a "real" magazine must unfortunately pay more and bought a charger from the Garmin brand.
