That is not true! We have a Altea (BJ2009) and Ibiza (BJ2011). We have size L ordered for the Altea, as it should fit as specified and size M for Ibiza.
After the first test it soon became clear that the size L does not fit on the Altea, because it is about 25cm too short on the long side. Then we put the tarp on the Ibiza and it fits pretty well. It is also not much of space, about 3-5cm less it should be no more than to make it even fits on the Ibiza.
Thus, it is clear that M size is too small for the Ibiza.
Therefore I can only recommend, Golf Plus / Altea to shop for vehicles the order a larger size than L and take a Polo / Ibiza Size L instead of the provider stating that it recommends M.
Apart from the size specifications, the product is recommended, as the price / performance ratio.
