From Hasbro, there is no target but we wanted one and especially with a stand.
Scope of supply:
Arch (plastic handle, fiberglass upper / lower sections, rubber end caps, textile coated rubber cord), 3 arrows (without feathers / guide fins) with suction head.
Security - Risk of injury:
Depending on the pretension is that to make it right the tendon during assembly of the bow low to mediocre risk of injury when hit in the eye area, in other body hits rather none on account of the existing rubber suction cups at the top of the arrows.
Security - damage risk:
Depending on the pretension is that to make it right the tendon during assembly of the bow low to mediocre
Property damage risk when hit from 2-5m distance on an insulating glass window pane.
An old traditional 3mm standard glass of a greenhouse can be broken when shooting in good pretension and less than 5m away.
Quality:
The quality is in accordance with the relatively low price, it is here a toy rather than a set for an ambitious junior sport archers.
The arc snaps together well.
The arrows are made of PE-like plastic, unfortunately quite difficult - unlike the Hasbro product where they are made of carbon fiber tube - and have no feathers (so called the guide vanes with arrows) which has a negative, at least for more than 7m away from the disc noticeable.
Assembly:
Easy. Upper and lower part of the sheet insert in the middle piece, put on rubber end caps and tighten tendon.
Alternatively / improvement:
The handle can to solve the screws taken apart, the molded parts entrgratet (Cuttermesser o. File / sandpaper) and are then assembled with some plastic adhesive back better fit and more stable (but is not necessarily halted stable by)
Caution:
If one uses the full length of the supplied rubber cord, the bias is so small that about flying 2-3m wide arrows at most, they then never remain on the disc stick.
Tip:
A so-called 8-nodes in the making a tendon end, while a toothpick / screw or nail with connect them (against slipping through the knot through the hole - if necessary afterwards with side cutter pliers cut so that nothing survives).
Make thread string through the hole at the other end of the arc, approximately 30cm wide and also pull out an 8-node (Internet / search engine) and connect them with a toothpick.
The supports for the feet of the target is also in two parts and screwed together, I did so as well to handle, cut the edges sharpened slightly and glued to plastic model glue again and screwed together.
Handling / Game-value:
We have the part at 5 ° temperature tested in the garden, the arrows stuck rarely on the disc, not even with a strong bias and thus more powerful Shot Power - but may have been due to the low temperature and therefore not as soft rubber suction cups - also these were somewhat deformed by the transport upon arrival.
With strong shots (especially if you have given the tendon well bias) may already be the fall over the target times.
I therefore fill the legs with gravel or sand - which fixes the problem, if it really occurs.
Generally I find the Hasbro Nerf bow and better fit for a petite 6-year-old also from the size better.
Arrows fly more stable since they have a plumage, these ones are worthless for shots more than 8 or 10m.
The Target with stand is good but - at least with the above-mentioned small modifications and weighs on my own the price of this set on.
Conclusion:
Little bit higher price and better material would here probably the better way to be.
But if you have it like me apart on an easily transportable reasonably large target and less on the bow and arrows to the set the price is definitely ok.
