Product to be OK.

Have tested immediately after the delivery in my car and the cooler.
Am very zufriedem with the device itself. It is relatively quiet and keeps everything cool.
Only one thing was very annoying. After I had the 12V connector repeatedly inserted and removed, the fine-wire fuse in the plug has blown (The plug was always very warm!). Have these changed once, and thought now everything is good and I am from went on holiday, but then after about an hour is a thick cloud of smoke from the center console risen (at 160kmh on the highway) ... The plug has been totally charred, because there was a short circuit caused by poor workmanship.
Apart from this, is yes hopefully be an isolated incident, you can buy the Severin KB safely.
