In advance I would like to clearly underline that the product does not promise too much and the advertised features run perfectly.
Why I chose this product?
I wanted to finally do not always carry around my cell phone while walking on the arm or in your pocket and have it rausholen the current status in addition, but can inform me with a look on my wrist to current speed, distance etc. Thus, I wanted a clock that only evaluates GPS data without an additional chip in the shoe or cell phone, to provide information on distance etc..
Why did I still opted for only three stars?
Language: Although I have no difficulty with the English language, but it bothers me that the display in the English language is possible to select a different language is not possible.
Commissioning: When I held the package the same day in the hands, I wanted to try it on the spot and was wondering why I could not make time and basic settings. The accompanying manual (lo and behold, that is even in German) is here also not helpful. After I then wanted to put me later on the computer and go to the bottom of my problem, I realized what it is: First of all must be the clock on the PC, you have to install the software for the clock and can be found online at Nike information about the functions. Only after the connection to the PC and the registry with an account with Nike +, the clock can be used to the full, and yes, even the correct time is set. Commissioning is thus only with a Nike + account possible an unpacking and there you go, there is not. At least for me angry.
Optics / comfort: In the pictures the clock looks quite slim and visually appealing from. Unpacked and wrist they will be very clunky. In winter I like when running for long running pace (the quite tight fits like most women on the wrist) Also gloves. Shirt and gloves are not so easy to get on the clock. Visually it does not correspond in practice the small companion, for everyday wear, it is much too bulky and interferes even. Also, the closure is not so easy to solve, as it implies the picture. However, it should be noted that the clock if it is a closed time, stuck, and is therefore safe to wear while running.
Functionality: GPS and heart rate monitor (unless it is purchased for them) to function properly. Problems are the backlight, which aims to address by tapping the screen. This only works after repeated Tap, and then treated in time. That annoys if you move fast and want to take a look at the clock. The operation with the three buttons (Up, Down, Enter) is clear and self-explanatory. However, the functions can be used only after the registration of the product, which is very annoying.
Functions in general: I believe that the clock their 140 (in other colors even more expensive) is not value. The functions which it can be adopted by simple apps and other tools. In addition, a chest strap must be purchased to the heart rate measurement. Of course there is not a simple chest strap that transmits data via Bluetooth, but to acquire a constructed specifically for this clock and functioning only with the clock chest strap, which in addition to the clock to more than 200 drives the price up. This is again annoying. So in the final analysis, you pay only for a clock with GPS 140. The functions relating to training plans etc are also so free at Nike accessible.
Conclusion: Although the clock works, but it is cumbersome to take only cumbersome in operation and does not offer enough features to justify the high price. Erstrecht considering that certain functions (heart rate monitor) only work when other products (Polar chest strap) acquires it.
