Connection and installation of the equipment was very easy and the drive is detected without problems of Windows XP (SP2). The supplied antenna has a small magnet on the bottom and can therefore attach to lamps or nails. By connecting USB extension, Stick and antenna together, to get (estimated) on 2m leeway.
When USB stick you have to make sure that the window for the infrared remote control remains free. The remote control responds partially sluggish, but still reacts in a akzeptierbarem frame. Even at a distance of about 4 meters, the operation was still working.
The TV software is not fully developed yet in my opinion. When you start the program, for example, the line-in signal of the sound card is automatically turned off. The Prozesserlast is ok, the image begins to stutter sometimes when you can casually run a game. This depends in my opinion, but also related to the signal strength.
The drivers are also a thing in itself. At least, to tolerate, not always with a Gigaset WLAN Stick (one of the devices will not run and is inactive). As a "normal" user to get the equipment up and running, without restarting the PC, may not be so easy. The problem occurs but rarely and when it runs only once, it will work until the next reboot.
The supplied antenna is very weak and you do not always get a picture. As already described in another report, only individual stations were accessible from certain locations in the room with me. Who has the ability to link the stick with a roof antenna, this should also do. Only the supplied antenna is not sufficient in my opinion. A suitable adapter is already the stick. One can imagine why! If you receive no or only an insufficient signal has namely no noise, but unmarried facilitated a black image. Extra stand up, to look only to another channel, is also not acceptable in the long run.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the stick is hot during operation.
All in all I'm satisfied because the described "problems" all - are tolerable - except that with the antenna.
