The Sony RX100 M3 was indeed discussed since they appeared numerous times and got consistently excellent reviews. Se were, been the perfect camera for me despite the not inconsiderable price .... Unfortunately, I had probably caught a defective Monday model (defendant often conspicuously sloppy well) through the final inspection at Sony had slipped. Anyway, my copy just could not make sharp images. In all capture modes, the photos were blurred, shaky and exposed as completely false. Even multiple resetting the settings did not help. That was a disappointment, given the exemplary Amazon return services but not a major problem. But what stop me to accept the offer Amazon, the defective copy with a new exchange, was that I did not get along well with the feel and the handling of the camera. The camera is simply too small for me and looks much too sensitive and fragile than that I had a good feel to it can build on me. I have large hands and the men RX feels like a fragile miniature. It is not at all well in hand, the additional purchase of the Sony handle fixing this seemed preposterous. The operation of the elements was much too futzelig and the appearance of moving parts such as the foldable monitor, the retractable viewfinder or the lens-shutter slats seemed very little trustworthy and anything but long lasting on me. Judging by the dimensions would be the RX even provided a pocket-camera, but I did not feel that they would survive such treatment even in the medium term, without prejudice. In addition, there are numerous reports that the cameras often only after many weeks of use suddenly a loud, not manageable hum (like a razor!) Produce. Even apart from my model defect I just could not build confidence in the reliability and durability of the camera. Compared feels as the competition model for RX, the Canon G7x, significantly more robust and reliable to. Although the pictures are probably not quite as brilliant as that of the RX in direct laboratory comparison, but I would have (and also the lower price) for the Canon decided in light of approximately equal size and much better feel, were it not for the totally Canons unacceptable strategy to monopolize also underpowered battery to a completely coated price. Unless you should not be fooled as consumers.
Conclusion: For me, the Sony RX is 100 m3 a pretty and elegant, but also fragile prop for the ladies handbag, which also still can produce fine pictures (if it works as it should work optimally).
