I own the SLT-A57M so with the lens SAL18-135 for a week and I'm thrilled. Previously I had a SLT-A55V and was also very satisfied. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the 55 damaged beyond repair by a 1/2 year. Sony has the low 57 asked for compensation available to me, I want nothing more! This is the camera quickly, superpower images (depending on the lens and photographer) and also a great video camera, is well known from many tests and forums. But how good is the lens correction barely mentioned anywhere (apparently because it did not invent Canon). I've certainly there are 8 lenses in my possession, from the high-intensity portrait lens, macro, light high zoom, zoom for different focal lengths and a 18-270 Super Zoom, but any problem forever. Either strong CAs or strong distortion or vignetting flashy. So one often only the time-consuming post-processing with expensive software on the computer. When I tested the lens correction at the SLT-A57, I thought that there is not. CAs away, distortion almost gone, Vignette also almost gone, cool! Featured Images can indeed still be made even in RAW format to then pass the time on the PC. Unfortunately, the lens correction currently works only with some lenses of Sony and Carl Zeiss. In the lens, a chip of the camera is telling the lens characteristics / error. The chip version can also be displayed by the camera.
Conclusion, all lenses except the Macro and Portrait (fixed focal length) to sell. Especially as the camera still a lossless 2 times zoom at full resolution and then again a 2 x digital zoom. This means that you can cover a range of 18-270mm relatively lossless with the 18-135mm.
Only the GPS lack of 57. Have there previously but not really needed.
