For those who have read The King on the threshold, we find here a few heroes of the Battle of Bel-Azar for whom the years, once past the honors, were not much warmer. Met by chance, and to regain some of yesteryear thrill, they decided to embark on an unlikely quest, find a girl they do not know kidnapped by slavers. And to their surprise, their present will quickly join their past.
A Gemmell all there is more classic with old glories who embark on one last adventure not always endearing characters, realistic scenes of violence and perhaps harder than previous. As usual I devoured this fourth episode of the same Drenai cycle probably lacks a little originality to be really excellent.
