Here are my first impressions of the product Inateck USB 3.0 Hub. : - Firstly, the design is very studied and, although this is not my first purchase argument when using an iMac and that does not distort the purity of its lines is always satisfying to find effective tools but "beautiful" also. - Secondly, this hub is compact and its wire, not too long (which is an advantage and a disadvantage at a time), retracts very clever way. - Precisely the cable length is too short to be used with an iMac. Fortunately, placing the hub on the DVD player stacked on the bottom of the screen, I win and a half centimeters and missing my installation is optimized. But, apart from this specific case, the use of the hub with a desktop computer does not seem ideal. It is clear, mobile use with a laptop or iBook that is targeted. Too bad, a few tens of millimeters, it was the perfect versatility. - Technically speaking, the USB 3.0 standard and operation with all the self-powered hardware and equal to or backward compatibility is perfect. No installation required, plug and play instant. Refill without problems tablets, iPods and other phones. - One regret, the number of ports. I would have liked to have one or even two additional locations. And in a perfect world, perhaps an SD slot but then I added, it is not crippling. Basically it is a USB hub. In conclusion, almost complete satisfaction, the product is exactly consistent with the presentation and it is functional. Its value (& design) price is excellent.
