The connection via Bluetooth with an iPhone 5S and iPad a spontaneously functioned perfectly. Mostly I run though the speakers using the supplied jack cable to the headphone jack of your smartphone or the tablet. This saves battery power so much that I with daily use of approx 1/2 - has not yet had to reload one hour in the morning for the delivery.
The sound quality is in relation to the small speaker very well. The device offers quite clear treble, pleasant mids and even a nice size for quenching Bass. Of course, one must not expect too much, but compared to another Bluetooth speaker that I still have the sound is superb better.
I find the device ideal for use on vacation as space- and weight-saving jukebox in connection with a smartphone, tablet or MP3 player.
The only shortcoming: As the "holding groove" is for the equipment only from this slightly rough metal, a small layer of rubber or felt would be good for it to avoid scratching the selected device. This modification can, however, make even small funds themselves.
Incidentally, the volume is adjusted exclusively via the sending device, the speaker only has the ON / OFF switch.
I can highly recommend this whole unit.
