Problem:
- Price
- Limited media playback (only a few different formats can be reproduced)
What to do?
Samsung is not an option -> Software from Samsung is generally scrap!
Support from Samsung is a deterrent
Phillips is a really good player -> Constantly problems however with the firmware
Unfortunately Phillips will only invest in hardware quality and cheaply programmed!
Sony is also a good player -> However, not very quietly
After much back and forth a lot, therefore the decision on the LG.
For the following reasons:
- It is relatively inexpensive
- Plays quite a few formats
- Integrated WLAN
-. No noteworthy postings regarding the software (firmware)
- Good test results
- Good references at Amazon
My first positive impressions:
- Image quality of DVD = a little better than my DVD player
- Picture quality of Blu-Ray = hammergeil! We see as a viewer is no difference for the Panasonic!
- Image quality of 3D = hammergeil! We see as a viewer is no difference for the Panasonic!
- WiFi has great reception and always works flawlessly
- Establishment / wiring = a no brainer!
- Reading a DVD = Ruck Zuck
- Reading a BluRay = fast (under 10 seconds)
- Noise = cold bearable
- Noise warm (about 1 minute) = inaudible
- Remote top!
- Software = fast, beautiful view, no stuttering, no unnecessary nesting, clear course
My first impressions neutral:
- WiFi integration = somewhat awkward! To find out the MAC address, you must first with his router
Remove filtering and connect the player. Nowhere is the MAC address is herauszulesen.
Also not on the DVD!
My first negative impressions:
This does not affect the Blu-Ray player directly! It's all about the sound.
- DTS = If you have his TV via HDMI connected directly to the player, can not DTS sound is transmitted.
One must therefore go with its HDMI cable first in an AV receiver and then to the TV.
However, I have unfortunately no receiver with HDMI input.
Man must therefore connect with his receiver and the TV directly via HDMI to optical output!
The figure took me several hours on the Internet!
The problem seems well grounded in the eternal license tangle. This time this HDCP!
The sound is so downscaled with HDMI-output to Dolby 2.1. -> Super!
It was only later I found the note in the manual of LG!
Conclusion:
Super Player with the right price-performance ratio!
I would buy the player at any time.
Anyone looking for a good and well-equipped Blu-ray players, makes the LG BP620 guarantees nothing wrong!
