The Little Russell Hobbs brings certain advantages that our large kettle has not to offer (1.7L Philips): - The step-like arranged cup markings inside (1, 2 or 3 cups) allows fast and particularly energy-saving preparation of small quantities of tea. - The stove is compact, it can still find a niche even in a limited space. - It is easy - when transported when not in use in the closet, which is no effort. - It is quiet - a pleasant side effect. Our great Philips is significantly louder. The accompanying manual describes in brief what you anyway know with such a simple device one has not much skill to acquire. After all, I've thrown a look at how the small filter cartridge is removed and reinserted. For men's hands this is just feasible - but the lid opening is now not huge, because the entire unit is so compact. Since the heating element is installed concealed, descaling and cleaning of the interior remains a breeze. On the positive side, of course, be noted that the metal housing secretes no harmful plasticizers into the water, as that is after all inevitable in plastic kettles. That a metal casing and outside is hot when inside boils water, of course assuming obvious common sense. It fulfills its function perfectly. For the full amount of water (cold from the tap) it takes about three minutes, the minimum amount was heated in 60 seconds. My Conclusion: An all-around and inside and successful device. Two thumbs up!
