Rayman - a legend

First of all: I am anything but a platforming expert and the game had actually brought me only because of the current software lull on the PS4.
The reviews were mostly positive yes. So the risk was (especially since the game will cost just 40 euros) relatively low.
And I was not disappointed.

The game is so lovingly designed and full of positive energy. I just can only express so.
Very good cartoon graphics, great sound and a sympathetic main character.
The game has a great rhythm game. When times not in a good mood is - Rayman insert and everything is fine.
Finally, there's a really fun Offline co-op. This is indeed now no longer so often before.
The game is very extensive. It is certainly engaged to about 20 hours. (My estimate, am not yet)
There are new challenges every day online. Thus, the game motivated long term.

Using various differences (graphically, playfully etc.) to those already published versions, I can not give any opinion because I do not know this. After research on the net, these are but limited.

I felt in my youth (long time ago) back to when I jumped yet with Mario through the area.
And Rayman stands him in every way. This is actually the greatest compliment that one can make the good Rayman.
So - give the game a try. On the other platforms (PS3, Vita, etc.) the game was unfortunately a financial failure. Perhaps the PS4 community can make up something here, so that we can experience Rayman in another game. He deserves it all.
