The unit is well finished and the display is really great. Vibrant colors, good contrast and viewing angle.
Currently running on the device, the Android version 3.1 and an update to 4.x is planned. The system is stable and has not yet crashed. Apps for higher resolution tablet currently available, unfortunately still sparse, but the selection is constantly improving.
The battery really lasts a long time through. After a 90 minutigen film in HD resolution (1280 x 700) and medium brightness, I had 89% battery left. The cameras are ok on the quality, but videos will be added much smoother in 720p on my Galaxy S. However, it takes hardly videos on a Tablet. Skype, however, is well located for the Galaxy Tab.
What was a decisive factor for the purchase for me, is that I can load and unload on the tab files without software. Per data cable the device is recognized as a removable drive and files can be freely exchanged. Music and videos are played in the most common formats. One advantage for me compared to eg the iPad is that even .avi files are played by default without first installing an additional player or having to convert the file.
By nature, the Tab has all the necessary software, such as the Word, Excel and PowerPoint files create an Office suite and can be edited. Due to the large and bright display, the Galaxy Tab is particularly suitable for internet surfing and also even in bright daylight.
+ Large display
+ Class Battery
+ 300,000 available apps
+ Powerful Hardware
+ Easy data exchange
+ Necessary programs on board
+ Light and handy
- Almost all apps require access to functions such as SMS and Location Services
- Memory not expandable
Overall, the Galaxy Tab gets 4 stars because I found unfortunately after a few weeks oil stains under the display glass that disappear when the unit is cold and appear when eg the sun for a short time it seems.
Since this can happen even now and I'm very satisfied with the device nevertheless, there are four stars.
Full buy recommendation.
