I already had a One for all, but which is now getting on in years. The new Smart Control can be configured really easy for 2 of my equipment I had not looking at several, but only enter a single digit code.

Once you have captured its devices with the remote control, you can then summarized in groups. For me, the example was the group TV, satellite receiver and audio receiver. The FB then accesses to the summary - without the device must still be selected - to the sound of the amplifier, the transmitter functions of the receiver and the special functions - AV input, format conversion etc - of the TV back. Although this went well with the former OFA, but was considerably more complicated.
If a function is not detected, the FB can learn them easily by opposite sets the old FB and the SmartControl.

It lies well in the hand and also looks chic.

Negatives:

- Not fully backlit, it lights up when pressed only the middle ring and the selected device key
- The numeric keys are located below the video functions above, conversely, it would have been catchy
- A box with free buttons for your own assignments is missing
- In the upper part of the FB is a kind of piano lacquer, very sensitive to fingerprints
