Short stories up - Before "My True Love Gave To Me" takes on hand, one should bear in mind that twelve stories on 355 pages will not be long all. The fact that these stories all could not be more, makes the collection interesting and has prevented at least to it, just read all in one go. From the really cute romance in the early history of Rainbow Rowell on the unvarnished "Angels in the Snow" (Matt Peña) to the partially wonderfully strange fantasy trips by Holly Black or Laini Taylor - each of (I previously mostly unknown) authors creates on plus / minus 30 pages a unique mood or even the world, which one leaves only reluctantly so quickly. For most candidates, of course, was from the beginning clear who disappears into the sunset - which did not bother me great, the characters were usually worth the time. Really stupid I found only "Beer Buckets and Baby Jesus" (Myra McEntire), slightly bored "Star of Bethlehem" (Ally Carter, whose "Heist Society" I actually found quite funny). Also in February, I have this collection Christmas stories read like (despite the many Pink on the book ...) and many of the figures remained even after the end of their stories for a while in my head. Some of the stories I have definitely not last read. But whom the stories independently and primarily are short, I recommend "Let It Snow" by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle - these are actually more three parts of a whole and not twelve separate stories.
