She seems to have excellent reception characteristics ... Therefore "seems" to date yet, because I'm also fallen into the 5V supply case - but it had not even noticed at the beginning.
My new DVB-T receiver has namely not got a 5V supply via the antenna cable - nevertheless I had with the Kathrein already a usable reception (outskirts of Munich).
A counter test with the active antenna from the PC with its own 5V supply showed the effect. With this antenna I have not a single station in passive mode.
So attention to the 5V eighth - the only disadvantage of this antenna is in fact really, that it can only be supplied via the antenna cable with the power of the amplifier.
When the receiver has this - then fully recommended (good design, very good reception characteristics).
If not perhaps rather resort to an alternative that has a own 5V connector. Otherwise, there are still soft, with whom one can feed the 5V directly in the line - are added stop again 6-8 and some tangles.
