After a long search I found a reasonable alternative.
The AV4m is very easy to use. The manual is written for a non-electronics.
With a toggle switch you can choose from 3 charging currents:
AA Batteries: L = 1200mA; M = 900mA; S = 700mA;
AAA Batteries: L = 600mA; M = 400mA; S = 250m;
more than M or S you should not adjust to conserve the batteries but eh.
The cycling function in this type of equipment required: ie load by wiederhohltes discharged & the best will gehohlt of long stored batteries, giving it a rejuvenating treatment.
The best part however is AV4m the "forming" of the battery. After insertion of deep discharged batteries, the device attempts to independently the batteries back to hollow by metered current pulses into being. After the formation of the charge cycle starts. If the battery is really fucked up, the charging slot on after max. 30 min. Off automatically.
