The SanDisk Ultra II is the direct successor of the SanDisk Ultra Plus and stands in the market segment of Low-budget SSDs in direct competition with Crucial Mx 100 and Samsung's 840 EVO.
Low-budget because in the production cheaper TLC memory are used, which have a shorter life compared to the more significant MLC chips.
SanDisk attempted to counteract at this point and uses the so-called. NCache technology for relieving the memory cells and thus to extend the service life of the TLC memory and in addition even to increase throughput.

All interested normal users rather little, the more interested in ease of use, durability and of course the speed SSDs.
And on these points, it still looks very pleasing:
The SanDisk is amazingly light, makes it but not as a solid impression as the Samsung SSDs. The Sandisk is narrow 7mm thin, but can be padded by the attached plastic frame with appliqued adhesive sheet to 9.5 mm and are therefore mounted without additional installation module in most notebooks.

Overall, the Sandisk was no nakedness compared to here also present Samsung's 840 EVO. Both SSD lay in the relevant speed tests (Atto, Chrystal etc) almost on a par.
