Packing and unpacking:
The unit is exceptionally easy to wear and good alone, despite its size. The package comes with its polystyrene content in order. In addition to the TV and the packaging material was found in the box and the foot of the unit, the power cable, remote control, adapter cable and a thick manual.
Structure:
The construction went slightly out of hand. For the assembly of the foot I put the unit on the couch. The foot is screwed fast and the unit can be placed immediately. The unit can also be hung on the wall - VESA goodness!
First Impression:
Wow - so flat and so shapely. The TV looks very smart and fits just fine into the living image. The material quality is very good. The device has a high quality and well made.
Startup and Commissioning:
Switching on and off. It's that easy at Samsung. Can just run through the menu and the TV does it all by itself. After a short waiting time, all digital channels and radio stations are found. The station order is Samsung typical, listed alphabetically. I find it very convenient. After a while, you know the numbers by heart also.
Operational:
The first thing that strikes a positive really very good and sharp image. Here I had to make any changes. In the DVD / Bluray operating the image is perfect. The sound, however, is miserable. But where it should come from? I recommend the connection to the home theater / stereo system. This refines the experience a lot and then makes the downstream television watching is fun!
Is a Scart connection available?
We all know that. Old videos that you simply can not play DVD because you do not have time or simply do not feel like. The VCR can still connect. There is an adapter cable, which on one side has a SCART connector for the recorder and on the other a slim multimedia terminal, which looks something like this, such as an HDMI connection. The whole thing is very easy to install. The picture is also very good, although not comparable to HD.
Power consumption:
The device consumes very little power during operation and even in standby mode. Unfortunately, the unit will not completely shut off. So the savings foxes helps here to draw only the plug when not in use.
The Remote Control:
Simple and self-explanatory. Reasonably high quality finish. It is just a remote control. Android friends are happy that they can control the device also via App.
Media content from USB or hard drive / access to a NAS:
Playback of movies, photos or music from a flash drive is incredibly easy. The unit will play just about anything. The same also in an external hard drive. If you have a NAS, can rejoice that even then can be accessed via the LAN connection. Sometimes takes a little bit, but it works flawlessly.
