The price-performance ratio here is definitely much better than many other Car Mounts.
+ The suction cup is tremendously strong. He is even much stronger than me known navigation devices attached original holder. When closed, you can transfer as much force on the suction cup that you get the feeling that they could tear out the windshield.
+ Universal it is unlikely, you can jam all the best.
+ The possible positions are very diverse, which is due to the neck and the other on the rotatable clamp.
But:
- The length of the neck is not to be underestimated, and comes in the photos over rather too short! Depending on the depth of the instrument panel, it is difficult at all to accommodate equipment at a sufficient distance. What is not an issue in a VW T5, where it is rather seen as an advantage, designed in a Corsa B to a life's work. Even when the neck bends completely in a maximum possible curve to the distance from the plate to minimize the mobile phone is still hanging to the left of the steering wheel beyond the dashboard. For very small vehicles of the neck can really quickly be too long.
- The vibrations that are mentioned in many reviews, exist, but can be controlled. The laying on of strangulated devices on the dashboard is not less strong, eliminates vibration but completely. This is an excellent solution for vertical integration, but only if you can control the cable run from the bottom inserted charging cables, otherwise is the phone on the inserted USB connector - is no less stable, but looks really stupid. Angled charging cable can provide a remedy in this case again, but, however, to buy extra a is not optimal.
- How stable the suction cup is also processed so cheap is unfortunately the ball head of the bracket. Once you have finally reached a nice positioning of neck and ball head, one makes this success with the first taking out the phone from the holder to naught. The lever arm of the clamp in use is so strong that regardless of the torque of the ball head it is rotated completely - so the fun is clouded by the fact again at next use, to have to adjust the ball head since the times also turns away when the will pinch phone. I would now not expected the quality of a Manfrotto tripod-ball head, but he is the quality of the suction cup by far.
All in all I am pleased with the support - when it is finally set so that you are satisfied with the position and the phone rests. Personally, I find the holder by the vibrations as useless as long as the phone is in the air. Once it rests the problem is settled, limited in the choice of a positioning but unnecessarily - a little thicker and - from me - like a little shorter neck would have eliminated the problem.
Pinching and retrieval of objects from the terminal I feel every time to be extremely annoying as the ball head is easily processed much cheaper than the suction cup.
Therefore, I am not completely convinced of the bracket. Due to the low price and the fact that I do still have some work to decent holding ratios, I would nevertheless the competitors that I could find, prefer because the were not necessarily practical, but clearly overpriced.
Who place en masse, is determined faster happy, but who must accommodate not only in a VW bus, but sometimes in a less deep car the holder, is the then subjectively suddenly far too long neck determines the one or curse other times.
