The rated cable do I use for two purposes:
* Recordings of DJ sets from a laptop or an external recorder.
* Integration of mobile devices like iPod or similar my DJ mixer.

Both purposes fulfills the cable wonderful. My favorite feature is the fixed RCA plugs (care: when poorly fortified jacks it is already happened to me once that the bush has been damaged in the mixer when unplugging the lead).

About shielding or sound quality of the cable, I can not say much because I have not bothered a measurement or an isolated sound tests. Various shows on large systems (of course with RCA phono cables to the same row) but so far have not identified any reason for complaint.
