I use Kaspersky on my computers (1 desktop and 1 Portable) for many years and I often bought the annual version on Amazon because the full version is ultimately less expensive than updating the site of publisher. At the launch of the CD, the previous version will be uninstalled and profiles will be stored if desired. Here it comes KIS (anti virus + firewall). We must keep in mind that most AV vendors make poor FW. We can see in this regard Matousec tests that reference in the matter. KIS turns out the only AV + FW that ranks first with Comodo FW and the best FW. For the AV part, we can refer to many pro sites (Virus Bulletin or others). Are often accused of their gluttony AV resources, I have no problem with that. The biggest flaw of KIS is its fairly foutraque ergonomics and configuration problems when you want to work on special conditions. Any alerts (AV but especially FW) are also incomprehensible, even to the Windows style. Finally there are occasionally false positives (quite justified for those I have mentioned) must then contact customer service and be prepared to respond quickly to contact the editor, because the "ticket" No. is valid until 24 hours. I have not hosted virus for many years. The AV I used at that time (Bit Defender) was unable to clean my computer that came out of nine in Assembler who had contaminated. I then installed Kaspersky AV which solved the problem .... and I have since kept this software also has a big advantage compared to others whom, alas well known: it does not leave a heap of slag in the register when it uninstalls.
