Remote control impractical

I have passed on the photo frame as a gift. I myself had been loaded several images on the internal memory card, it works flawlessly. I had used this and other preferences the buttons on the back. The keys are not particularly high, but work. The recipient of mine would of course also use the included remote control. Only now did the remote control fails to operate, even after replacement of the attached battery. Only when to pack up for the return of the small holes were found on the side of the housing, which as it turned out to be targeted with the remote control at close range to respond. This is not the sense of a remote control.
Otherwise, the device is quite alright. The resolution could be better at the size. The sound I have not checked.
