After I had (my first ever D-SLR) first acquired the 1.8 G 50 mm after acquiring the D800, I switched to the still "Billigheimer" which is reviewed here. I come from the large format and medium format and also work with the D 800 in principle with tripod and must anyway Fade to get depth of field. Under these conditions, I can in good conscience give it 5 stars for the resolving power / contrast performance at this price. As Porträitlinse with (if desired) the smallest possible depth of field logically unsuitable much. Is the way to be absolutely advantageous lens on Nikon's English-language list of "high resolution for D 800 (e)". So soooo bad it can not be. PS I'd rather a Tiltfähigkeit (it rich a few degrees) want with sufficient image circle. Then you would have at least in many cases, no longer too dim for subjects photographed with a certain spatial depth and up close.
