At first I toyed with the ATIV 9 Plus of Samsung. My dream configuration (min. 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) was for the ATIV but not available, so I ended up with this 15 "device.
Delivery was prompt - thanks Amazon!
Outwardly this Zenbook is top, very classy! After opening my eyes fell directly onto the touchpad: hm yes ok. the right margin was lowered further than the left. total with a slightly larger gap. Not super annoying - but in this price range (KP 1999.00) should not happen the. Well - it was for me not equal a reason to return the device. So fired up that machine.

After a short implementation period, the first time I have seen the tiles of Win8. OK. Matter of habit. Update on Win8.1 went quickly thanks to SSD.
BUT: the loud fan and the heat (! Despite Notebook FAN Control) is the reason for the return for me. Especially (surfing, Canon Install the software to rip CD ...) when further acclimatization me the system is lubricated 3 times in 2 days. Battery lasted about 4 hours ... with the installed technology certainly acceptable, but nich Dolle.
I thought of the nearly 2000 purchase price and again made smart alternative which comes into question .....
What can I say, I was this morning with a big red electrical shop and I bought my first Apple product in my life. A Macbook Pro Retina 13 "(2.6 GHz, 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD) WOW whisper quiet and fast, and so far no mosquitoes priced cheaper 250, an external DVD drive I have (though Samsung) mitbesorgt equal to 45.!. - works perfectly. But I do not advertise ...

What positive yet on this Zenbook: the sound! This is already without the supplied subwoofer class! (That was also the reason why I had overlooked the Touchpadgeschichte.

So it will be returned. ASUS and over! 200SS can create better!
